Mediation & Arbitration

Linda is a Pepperdine University trained mediator with 40 years of expertise in many diverse fields. She is passionate about assisting parties within a dispute to reach a resolution without them having to endure the stress and expense of litigation, which can take many years.

Resolving the disputes sooner allows the parties to return to their lives, businesses, families and to focus on the things and people that are the most important to them. Parties are more satisfied with the outcome or resolution where they play a part in crafting it themselves.

Mediation. Nonbinding mediation before an impartial mediator who is knowledgeable about the subject matter of the dispute is the most common ADR procedure used in recent years. A mediator acts as a facilitator in a series of individual and joint settlement discussions. The decision is nonbinding and parties can terminate the mediation at any time.

Arbitration. The parties present their cases to a single arbitrator (or to a panel of arbitrators) who renders a decision that is usually binding and not appealable to a court.
